Looking at this 1997 Civic to buy. It is a auto and upon talking to the lady she said the last owners you know riced it out of course and put a "trip kit" for the transmission. Thats what she called it but it sounds like shift delay module to me, which I cannot find any information on. I think thats probably the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Why would you put something on your car thats going to wear out your transmission faster and make your car harder on gas.

Anyways if anyone here has any information to share with me on this that would be great. Is this kind of thing an actual mod to the transmission or just a software thing? Can I remove it? I'd probably offer her half her asking price because of this.
