Default Auto tranny question?

so ive searched this site, honda tech, and google with no luck. So here it is, Is there any way to adjust the shift points of your Auto trans? i thought maybe you could adjust the kickdown cable to change them, like on an older gm trans. Anyways does anyone know for sure?

I believe on a 95 they are all computer controlled. I even think my 90 is computer controlled. I haven't seen anything like a vacuum modulator or kick down cable. With the older GM, Ford, & Chrysler trannys they had both. Shift points could be changed with adjustable modulators & kick down adjustments.

It has a kickdown cable, but yes i think its computer controlled, theres no modulator i can find. I havent messed with the kickdown linkage. but the car shifts from first to second before the spedo moves, and into third at 25 mph....maybe thats normal but it seems a little short to me....

update, i shortened the linkage at the kick down (detent) cable, it is raised the shift points a lot. Had to adjust it again to my liking. Just FYI that it does change them. Thanks!
