Anyone know how to fix a glovecompartment
My glovebox is broken on the one end, sometimes pops open. I can get it to stay if I press up and slam it shut. This is one of those little things that anoys you about your car and did nothing to fix over the years. I want to know a cheap way to fix it without replacing the whole thing. I can see the plastic part where it's broken off. Anyone suggest anything that I could do to repair this?

I looked at it. I am assuming your hinge broke out of the box itself.
If you have all the pieces, you can try to glue them together. And you can try to fabricate a bandage out of a steel stripe and screw it to the box to strengthen glued parts.
Otherwise you can fabricate a new hinge half out of a steel or aluminum angle, and screw it to the box.
Either way you are going to spoil the look somewhat, and I doubt you can get anywhere close to the original strength. I think your best bet would be a local junk yard.
