Default Anyone have b20 swap experience

Im thinking pretty serious about replacing my blown d15 with a b20 crv motor. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this swap? The ups and downs? Anything you think would be helpful? thanks guys

b20 it man, I have been around 2 b20 swaps. Both were stock non-vtec swaps, but I know a few things about them...

I ran across a B20B from a CRV on a local forum for $650, and I did a bit of research. These motors have a lot of potential. I assume you are swapping it into an EG. You could go with a B20/vtec setup, or just built the B20. They arent the best motors for boosting because of the weak sleeves. A guy built a B20Z with aftermarket cams, valvesprings, intake mani, and cam gears made 164 whp and 130 wtq. And remember thats stock compression so there is more potential there.

i dont wanna do a vtec head swap on the b20 i just like the idea of all the torque. I just dont know anyting about the swap and i need info on what all i need to do ie obd2 conversion, gsr tranny, axles, ecu, motor mounts, i just need the info cause my eg has a blown motor and i need to get it on the road asap so any info would be greatly appreciated or else its gettin a z6 with future turbo plans....

just get the z6. from what i know it drops right in. then turbo it later. i think its easier and when slap that turbo on u`ll be pushin some good numbers

In no way would it be eisier to do a z6 swap and on top of that is would be 10x harder to boost it. I love it when people give advice to others on **** they have not done. The B20 swap would be about the easiest swap you can do. I do suggest you track down a B18b inteake and cams though as they are cheap upgrades that will give you more power uptop along with having the added tq from the b20

so what would i need for starters b20, gsr tranny, crv ecu?, b series axles and shift linkage, motor mounts, and some odds and ends? I really want to do the b20 but im only lookin at a 1k budget is that do able? Then switch for b18 intake and cams and a good tune when i get more money.....
Im mechanically inclined i just havent ever taken on a motor swap before.... what about the motor being 0bd2 and the car is 0bd1? All the sensors wont just plug in right?
