Exclamation another ignition problem

ok, i recently installed a new skunk2 intake manifold. after fooling around with the vacuums for some time i finally got it to run right. ran fine for ten minutes. shut the car off, restarted it, ran again for 5 minutes or so. turned car off. restarted car, ran for 30 seconds(if that) then died.

car cranks in the distributor the blk/yellow wire has power(dont know how much just tested it with test light) the wire just to the left of it, has no power, when key is on or cranking. one thing that was weird was when using the test light i touched the negative side of the coil going into the ICM and it lit up?? is that normal?? the rotor moves with the engine so would i still have a timing belt slip?? is that common? note+ car is getting no spark to the plugs but has power coming from the blk/yellow wire

im totally lost. car is a 98 civic ex 1.6 all that good stuff. please help i looked for stuff in the threads but found nothing like my problem. i was never driving the car it sat and ran and died, but im sure if i was driving it would have died anywho. thanks in advance

Take the cap off and try to draw sparks from the coil output post to a grounded test wire. If you only get weak yellow sparks, replace coil.

thanks for the help, i went to kragen today and told the guy my situation, he said his son has a 98 civic and after they got done changing the oil they started it, where sitting there talking and the car just died. he said he replaced the coil and that solved it.

ill update later to see if this was the problem.
