Another A/C Problem (kind of urgent?)
Hey guys, yet another awesome problem on my civic.
First off, I have a 98 civic ex coupe.
To continue, I haven't had A/C in a while due to a failing compressor, however, I could get it to blow hot air (heat).
Here's the problem: I replaced my cigarette lighter the other day and ever since I can't even get my vents to blow hot air. The only change i made was hooking up the new cigarette lighter + disconnecting an old radio that some genius had stowed away behind my dash panel. Also, when I open my doors, my overhead light no longer comes on. I've checked all fuses already, so spare me.
Thanks in advance.

As far as the dome light, its because you pulled that stock radio out. You can leave it out, but to get the dome light to work you have to jumper a wire in the green connector that plugged into the radio. I did it last week to my g/f's civic because she still had the stock radio in the dash. I cant think of the wire off the top of my head. I looked in the wiring diagram. As far as the blower goes, did you disconnect the connectors to the climate control at all when you pulled out that radio and replaced the 12v outlet?

None that I'm aware of, I only disconnected the stock radio and reconnected the 12v. How exactly would I go about jumping that connector? Another strange thing is that the A/C button's light won't turn on anymore either. Thanks for the help so far.

i recently had this problem on my car with the compressor not working and it all turned out to be a relay

I guessed it was the relay, but I'm not exactly electrically-savvy when it comes to cars, so I didn't want to jump the gun and assume something.
Any test to check it?
