hi there
all my signal lights blink rapidly, like there is a burnt out bulb. however, none of my bulbs are burnt out in the whole car!
when i hit the hazard switch, it blinks at the normal slow pace.
any ideas?

 

replace your turn signal relay

or you can swap it with a known good one to see if that is really your problem.

 

yeah, that's what i was going to do. parts car has a relay that I know is still good.

 

they're also known as 'flasher relays.'

By chance do you have LED bulbs?

 

no sir i do not.
the problem was the relay. there was a big honkin' one in there. swapped the good one from my parts car and it was all good.

 

random info that you no longer need but for those REALLY cheap people out there: Last time a turn signal relay went out on me I pulled the cover off and bent one of the contacts away from the one it connects to. It totally solved the rapid blink. I'm not sure if the Honda ones are the same style though.

 

zerojett, that is good to hear that it was simply the relay. Sometimes they just break without rhyme or reason.
