air conditioning
My 01 civic was in the shop after a accident. It was rear ended and then hit the car in front. It was not at all a major collison. I brought it the the dealership and got it fixed, it was around 2000.00. Now my ac blows hot air. When the car got repaired then changed the condensionor and recharged the ac. I brought the car back and they said that the ac coil and clutch need replaced. And that is was not accident related and it would cost 700.00 bucks. I want to know when they charged it could they have damaged either the coil or the clutch. And is 700.00 a rip off.

Have you ever had any work done on your A/C? If not, it should be the fault of Honda for putting too much freon in the system. Ask the mechanic to put it in writing, then send it into Honda requesting that they reimbursh you for any costs incurred. KEEP any original paperwork.

RE: air conditioning
Does anybody know what the life expectancey of a ac coil and clutch, I am still fighting with the body shop/ins company. Body shop says not their fault and Insurance company says they can not do anything because the Body shop says not accident related.
