Air Box Screws Rusted & Nuts Spinning
Hi, I just bought a 2003 Honda Civic DX, and I'm trying to get a bit of a head start on some of the maintenance.
I was changing the cabin air filter, which was PLUGGED, and I thought about changing the engine air filter, only to find that the air box screws were rusted, and the nuts holding the screws in place were spinning, so no matter what I did, nothing happened!
Is there any point in spending the time and effort into opening the air box only to change the air filter, but in the process destroy the air box, and is there a better way to do this, it is so rusty that the screw in the middle of the air box cover is spinning!
Thanks
