Default Aftermarket halo bulbs

I bought a used 92 civic hatchback last week and it came with the aftermarket halo projector headlights.
Besides the fact that I can't figure out the wiring for the halos I'm also wondering what bulbs these lights take?
Are they the regular stock civic bulbs? The H4 9003 I believe.
I'm asking because I want to throw some xenon bulbs in there.
And if anyone can help me with wiring the halos I would appreciate that as well.
Thanks.

So not one person on here has halos and upgraded xenon bulbs eh? I've searched far and wide for this information.
I would assume they are the original 9003 H4 bulbs, but I just want to make sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

my projectors use stock bulbs, but that's on a 2000 si and i don't remember wwhat type of bulb it is, so it may not be the same for you. for the halo's, there is a red and a black wire, red goes to positive and black to negative. i installed relays in mine while i was there, getting power straight from the battery, and used a diode to allow the low's to stay on when i turn on the high's. not sure if that helps, but there you go.

how do those halo projectors compare to the stock head lights? I need to replace the headlights on my civic and was considering upgrading to the projectors, are they better or is it just cosmetics.

sorry, i don't know. they were on there when i got the car. they were in pretty bad shape, yellowed and pitted, but some wet sanding and plastic polish and they are 100 times better now.

I just noticed on the headlight there are markings on them.
Below one light it says H1 (highbeams i think) and below the other bulb it says H3 (lowbeams)
Then it has a long serial number type thing.
Is this for sure the bulbs the headlight takes?

hey man, i got aftermarket projector headlights on mine as well. They do not hook up into the stock harness. They use their own harness, and their H3 bulbs for the projectors. And if i where you DO NOT GET XENON. Get some of these "MTEC".There BAD *** bulbs I have them in my car, so as like 30 of my buddies in their other hondas. They put out wayy more wattage and less wattage in side the housing which is better. You should seriously get MTEC though you won't get a better kind of bulb then them.

I have had xenon and other bulbs and they don't compare to MTEC.

Thanks for the help. Finally figured out the whole bulb situation.
I think I will go with the MTEC like you said.
Anything else I need to know?
