acc. ran 600 rpm over redline, should I be concerned?

No I just had it in 2nd going about erm.... 65-70 mph or so I guess.
wow Yeah, thats WELL over the "recommended" limit

whadja do, thinking you were dropping in fourth but in 2nd instead? I did that once in my old 240sx and it freaked the hell outta me.

Well it was only for a hot second until I realized where the revs were and upshifted

I was cruising in D4 down my favorite back road that I take to get to work (well shaded, by the water, lots of nice curves) when I got stuck behind a pair of cars going the speed limit (it's really low on that road, like 35 or 40, but everyone does it at 60 or so most of the time) well I was running really late for work, so I dropped it to 2nd and waited for a good section with a decent view of the road ahead and blew by them. It was only after I cleared the front car that I looked down at the tach, whoops
