Default ABS or braking problem.

Hi All

Recently I've noticed when I apply the brakes lightly, the pressure is inconsistant.

The best way I can explain it is when you have a bucked tyre on a push bike and you apply the brakes as the wheel goes round, it sticks where the buckle is, but is loose and not making contact on the rest of the wheel.

I would get the same effect if I tapped the brakes, causing a juttery slow down.

It's getting progressivly worse I believe, but I only feel the effects when the brakes are lightly applied, when I put the pedal down harder, it still comes to stop.

Could be anything from pads, to rotors, to a faulty ABS system (had trouble with it in the past).

Any suggestions on how to diagnose the problem?

Cheers

Your brake rotors may be warped or unevenly worn, so you may want to start by replacing them and the pads.

Thanks, anyway to test this (on 1 or all wheels) before I go forking out for the whole kit and kaboodle?
