98 Honda Civic LX NO Start
I have a 98 honda civic that will run for 2 to 3 days and won't start the next day. It has a brand new trans, distrubutor, starter, a new computer and brand new hoses and some of the wires were replaced. The person that was working on my car told me I need a new fuel pump. I want to know If I get that will it solve the no start problem once and for all?

Does it not start at an especially hot time of day? I believe theres a switch under the passenger side dash that can go bad and cause the car not to start when its really hot.
I had this happen with my first car, a 1992 Honda Civic DX, I know its a longshot but maybe...
Incase anyone was wondering, it was apparently very easy to fix the problem and cheap.

Make sure it is the fuel pump. Turn the key onto the second click(but don't start it) and the Check engine light(CEL) on the dash should come on for 2 seconds then go off, for those 2 seconds you SHOULD hear the fuel pump behind the backseat prime(fill) the fuel lines. You should be able to hear it from the driver seat...if you don't..THEN it most likely is the fuel pump.
Also...On those days in which the car DOES start..Does it have a hard time starting at all(cranking and cranking and cranking)? If so THEN it's your Main Relay(or Fuel Relay as some call it).
