98 CivicDX Idle surging
My Civic blew the fuse for the speedometer and O2 sensor, I think it is fuse #15? and check engine light came on. Anyway I searched the forum and found the answer. I removed my intake and stuff and found the short in my harness. Well the check engine light went off, fuse quit blowing and everything was fine for a couple of days of driving, about 100 or so miles. Now my check engine light has come on and the engine surges at idle. I checked all my plugs and connections, coolant level is fine........so now what?
Please help!!!

RE: 98 CivicDX Idle surging
Retrieve the CEL code as described here:
http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557
After you retrieve code, drive the car or run the engine to determine whether the CEL again turns ON and, if so, whether the stored code(s) is the same. Troubleshoot any code that repeats or post the codes here for more feedback.

yep, I have a code reader and go 108 MAP circuit high voltage and 113 IAT circuit high voltage and 1509 IACV circuit failure , hmmm that seems like alot of things at once. I reset the codes and going to run it until the light comes back on and read them again. I think during trouble shooting I caused these codes.

RE: 98 CivicDX Idle surging
ok, cleared the codes. When I started the car it was idling high as it does when cold. I drove around the block and as soon as the engine started to warm up the surging started again. I check the codes, no error codes. I do not have the FITV on mine so I am hoping cleaning the ICAV will fix it.
