98 acura type r engine swap

i a looking into putting an acura integra type r engine in my 98 honda civic ex.

i have a few questions.

1) will it fit?
2) will the stock civic tranny handle the more hp?

1. yes, you need to buy a bunch of parts though

2. no, you can't use your stock civic trans.

Good luck, you got some major work to do. Luckily you have access to a shop. Just as long as he doesn't mind your car sitting there for a little while.

I'll definitely help you out. Figure out what engine you are using yet? I found a few engines, and will be calling some places tomorrow, while looking for some new parts for my car.
