Default 97 EX Sedan keyless lock/alarm issues

Keylocks stopped working a few months back. So I disabled the alarm into valet mode. But every so often when unlocking the doors with a key the alarm goes off. Is there an easy fix or should I completely disable the alarm? How do I do that?
Thanks.

I believe in valet mode it has a timer for self arming. That is why it goes off and you have to disable it the same way again. I would just get the keyless fixed. Look at e-bay for the remotes and I think you can just have them programed to your car. Haven't had to do this yet, but one of mine did break and I have looked into it a bit. I assume you tried a new battery on yours right?
