Default 96 Civic Halo Projectors Hookup

I have these headlights installed in my car. Currently only the center lights (the ones in the center of the halos) are connected (OEM harness). What I want to do is be able to turn on each of the halos individually on their own switch rather than from the headlights. I know that there's a switch needed, and a relay I would think (if they're not the same thing)....I'm not all that technical. Can someone suggest any ideas on how to go about this and what I would need?

I would want both Inner halos on one switch from the two headlights and the outter halos on the other switch also from both headlights if I wasn't all that clear above. Thanks.

you want each halo indivdually? Like 4 switches? Mount the 4 switches, then off the back of each halo theres a red and black wire, right? Ground all 4 of the black wires, but then run each red wire to its own switch. Get all the switches power (probably from the fusebox), and you'll be good.

There's a black and a white wire that comes from each halo that's it. The ones with red are already connected to the OEM harness (they're the lights in the center). So I haven't hooked up the halos yet because I wanted to get the right info before I risk damaging them. What type of switch could I use? The car audio place said there's different types so I have no clue. And would I require a relay? I asked because I've read somewhere that without a relay the halo can burn up after some time. I was also told by my coworker that does electronics that I would need a relay because if I connected the halos to the battery then I would need a relay to prevent the halos from getting more power than they need.

Oh yea, to answer your question.....2 switches (the inner halos from both headlights on one switch and the outter halos on the other)

Someone told me today that the switch that I'm going to be using must have a specific amperage rating to match up with the car's battery, otherwise it could burn out the switch pretty quickly. Still other than that, would I need resistors (don't know what they look like so I don't know if the lights have any built in). also, would I need a relay?

when i wired mine up, i just picked up a switch from a local car shop, wired it out of the fusebox after a fuse so it's fused, and ran it directly to the halos. No resistors, no relays, and maybe i just got lucky with the switch, because i didnt look for any specific amperage

Thanks alot, I hope that it really doesn't require anything specific. I know that halos burn out somewhat quickly so I wouldn't want to be wrong on hooking them up. You've been a great help. Thanks again! I will visit the car specialties shop as soon as I get off work

Did a temporary hookup of the halos today and they work great....except the temporary hookup was off my fog lights. Would it be a strain on the fog lights if I just ran a switch tapped into the inline fuse of the fog lights? That way I could get provided power and still be able to turn the halos on seperate. By the way, the fog lights are APC with a 30A relay and 25a inline fuse with another wire from the inline fuse connected to the + battery post. I think it would be alot less work for me if I just tapped a switch into the existing inline fuse but I wanted an opinion as to whether or not it would be a problem.
