Default 95 Civic O2 Sensor

Hey all,

So my ladys car started bucking and not giving enough power (she has 95 civic ex vtec), and I was wondering what the problem was, so I took it to the local mechanic. Anyway I find out that the spark plugs were pretty much CRAP! I got some stuff from autozone and the mechanic suggested that I get some oem stuff cause the ignition was mis-fireing. Anyway I did and the car runns pretty smooth now. However the check engine light is on and they checked the code and found out that I have to replace the oxygen sensor. Long story short.................................I HAVE TO REPLACE THE OXYGEN SENSOR, I have the Civic manual on CD but they don't really show me how to replace it......can anyone help a brotha out!

Thanks,
-D

well on my ek i bought a 02 sensor remove tool [basically a deep socket w/ an opening for the wire] and like a regular socket just take it off but remember to spray some wd-40 to help on the process andbefore u put the new oneuse some anti-seize to make it easier for next time. good luck

+1 for the tool and wd-40. also if it not coming out at all use an aseteling torch and heat it up till its glowing orange and should come right out no problem.also disconnect the o2 sensor wire first

or instead u could just let the car reach operating temp and take it out. O2 sensors are really easy to replace. +1 for the tool but i just mark my wires and cut the plug off and crimp back together. Its much cheaper than buying a special tool.
