Default 95 civic bogging when accelerating?

me and my buddy just did a jdm 1.5l motor swap in a 95 civic. changed the clutch timing belt water pump. it runs fine at idle but when you want to step on it, it just bogs like it aint getting enough fuel or something, or something is holding it up. any help would be awesome

Did you set the spark timing with a timing light? The ECU test jumper must be installed while you set it. If it doesn't come in near the center of the distributor range, the timing belt is probably off by a tooth.
