I would follow up with similar diagrams from the helms manuals, but I can't find where I saved them...

question!! where is the crankshaft sensor located on a 1994 honda civic??

 

The sensor is inside the distributor (see picture).

Since my last post i hadn't worked on the honda i just let it be... took off the maine relay and just kind of took a breather on the situation.... today i put the main relay back on and it started right up... had me excited to the extreme i've been going outside ta turn it on every hour practically... an its been turning on... tomorrow morning is the main test whether it'll turn on again.... LET I HOPE!!!

 

If fussing with the main relay got it started, you should pop the relay open and resolder the connections inside to ensure reliability. It's a very common problem.

 

hey my tech. told me its the computer to my car, for civics how much do those run?? rebuild and or new??

 

Information you have provided in this thread seems to point to the main relay. Just curious, what new information ruled out the main relay and led your tech to conclude that the ECU was bad?

 

the maine relay is a year old... and that the compasitor?? not sure if thats how its spelt... is broke? im not sure its how explained it... an its not triggering the relay fuel pump ect.... the main solution is he says ishe turns the key ta idlean leaves it there an sometimes it takes 20 seconds ta maybe 5 minutes for it to be ready ta be turned on.
