MK: Here are some drawings from the manual that I hope will help illustrate my dilemma.
DARN. I can't seem to send the pics due to file size. If you look at the manual section 11-54 and 11-14 I think you'll see what I mean. I promise I am listening but this is unique.

There's 2 different harnesses for the 92-95 civics one has the map sensor plug wrapped with altogether for the map sensor on throttle body, the other one isolates the the plug to run along the firewall where the map sensor is sometimes located.

LBoogie: Exactly. Any idea how to marry the two? I have an engine and engine harness from a D15B7 (map sensor on firewall/shock tower) in a car that has a body harness from a map sensor on throttle body. I hope to make it work without buthchering...

Not exactly sure how to go about it. I do know the the one with the map sensor on the fire wall the plug is connected to the Big a$$ harness behind the dashboard (had to replace mine). It seemed to ran directly from the ecu to the sensor. So I'm presuming it would be possible to run it that way since the engine harness you have now does not contain one at all.

Default map sensor working, check engine still on

OK gang. Finally tracked down the section in the manual that told me that the MAP sensor connector from the old wrecked LX would go to the same spot on the ECU if I married it to the car harness of the new donor body EX. Done. Idle good, working well. Thank you to all. Now the check engine is on with a code 22. I know from reading MK's post that you can't use a VTEC ecu on a non-VTEC car which is what I am currently doing. No problem as I can plug in the old manual ECU with no VTEC. However, I have jumpered many plugs on the old auto tranny harness to get the back-up lights, the clutch/ignition enable, and the key removal switch to work. Any harm in just chucking up the manual ECU? Anyone? Bueller?

Closer every day.

Default All is well and the car is running well

After splicing in the correct MAP connector to the harness and plugging in the manual ECU the car is up to snuff. No codes, no lights, smooth idle. I'm smiling. Thanks to all that assisted in this endeavor. I would suggest moving it to a "problem solved" section but I am probably the only one that moves from a VTEC 1.6 liter to a 1.5 non-VTEC. Just love that 40mpg and the low mileage on my favorite engine. Again, thanks gang I really appreciate the help.
