Default 93 Honda Civic Fuse Blowing

My Honda Civic 93 4dr Sedan - fuse keeps blowing for dash, directional lights and the shift lever release. In any case we are not getting a read from the dash fuel guage and the bloody shift lever won't release unless you shove the key in the shift release slot to the front right of the stick.

How can I chase down the problem and resolve it?

Look for a short, that could be the problem.
