93 civic ex - too little power
Hello! I bought a 93 honda civic ex last yr (pretty decent price) w/ 91,000miles.I did some modifications on it.
Installed DC Sports Headers w/ matching catback exhaust from Ebay
AEM V2 Air intake System
New clutch and flywheel also installed - oem
tokico illumina shocks w/ matching tein springs
Pirelli pzero nero m+s 205/45zr-16 83w tires
actually, i love the looks of my car now. but the way it runs , im not satisfied with it. shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, 0-25miles , 3rd gear up to 45miles . it doesn't have much power - i dont know whats wrong with it. I hate it everytime i get left behind by other car at startup. Don't get me wrong... i'm not racing my car, i just hate the feeling seeing even old cars overtaking me and just hearing all vroomsss and not really movin fast. Any suggestions to make my ride more fun is greatly appreciated.. Thanks!

RE: 93 civic ex - too little power
With those mods you're probably only putting down about 105whp and 95 ft/lbs, of course it'll be slow. Is this you're daily driver or do you have an alternate mode of transportation? If you sold that header and intake you'd have a nice start on a home made turbo kit that'll make you nice and quick.
Hell, you've already got the perfect motor and ECU, all you need to do is chip it, strap on the boost, and get it tuned.
