88' Civic sedan won't turn over

RE: 88' Civic sedan won't turn over
I have been doing a lot of reading all night, and I have one question -- So if I am getting ample fuel squirting out, the main relay is not at fault right? I understand that the main relay controls the fuel system, and if it burned out I would not get the fuel pump turning on. Am I right?

"The fuel pump's default state is OFF. There is only one specific condition that will result in the pump running, so pretty much anything that goes wrong inside the Main Relay will turn the pump off, and your car won't run."
I reading that, I speculated that as the relay controls injectors and fuel pump, so if it's got a problem with cracked solder or whatever else, it would cause the fuel to not shoot out. Is there a possibility that the relay works enough to pump fuel, but not enough to get the injectors working? I am going to go out and try starting the car with the gas pedal depressed, as I read that this can clear a flooded engine out and causes the ECU to reset something. (Which I don't remember what it was, but it was important.
Thanks for the help

Don't think your engine is flooded, but give it a try - if it helps it helps, if it does not - at least you know it did not, and it does not cost a dime
As for the relay - I think there is a possibility of injectors not getting power and fuel pump working fine. You should know how to read diagrams, look what will happen if terminal 3 gets disconnected from relay?
But as I stated before I think your problem is most likely with ignition, not fuel, so I would concentrate my effort ther, until proven otherwise.

Oooo, I am quite excited. I'm not sure what I did, it might have been flooded, but I got it started. It took like 10 seconds of cranking as it sounded like it was picking up speed and finally fired. I let it run for a bout a minute, and tried putting water on my plug wires to see if I might have a bad wire. I didn't notice and different sound in the engine idle speed, so I'm not sure that was the problem. I turned it off, and on again, and off, and on again, each time it fired up fine and got going without a problem.
I think the reason it excited me was that I was not expecting it to fire up, and it did and I could not grinning. Thanks for the help, I'm going to keep trouble shooting to see what it might have been and if it could happen again. I think that it was because of the flooding, or something like that... does this sound like it might be the answer?
"Occasionally, injectors leak. It's somewhat rare, but it does happen. No-starts due to this seem most often to occur after the car sits overnight. Brand-new injectors will sometimes need to wear in, to "seat" properly. Older cars, especially those not driven much, that have had poor maintenance, or that have been allowed to run out of gas once too often, can have gummed-up injectors whose pintles don't fully seal the spray hole when closed. When this happens, the fuel/air mixture in the cylinders can become so rich that the spark plugs have trouble igniting it.
Flooding can also happen if the ignition wires are in poor enough condition that they fail to allow the spark plugs to ignite the fuel in the combustion chamber.
The cure? Push the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold it there while cranking. The computer recognizes your action as an attempt at clearing a flooded condition, and shuts off the injectors. You might have to crank for a minute for it to work its magic. This method is listed in your Honda Owner's Manual."
