Default 2012 civic: Volume on steering wheel doesn't work

Hey guys.
So the volume and change preset buttons (dpad) on the steering wheel has stopped working. It worked when in the menus, but for the radio it does nothing. The center button makes a noise when pressed.

This happened once before but went away after I restarted my car.

This time it has been going on for 3 days.

Is there a setting or something I'm missing or something I could do to fix this? It's odd because it still works for menus so I'm thinking there might be a setting for turning it off for some reason. I can't find anything in the manual.

I'm hoping it's something easy because if I bring it in it will take them at least 3 hours (always does).

Could it be the cold?

Thanks!

I dont want to sound like a @$$, but if its a 2012, its still under warranty..... just bring it back to the dealer.

I probably will. It just seems like something easy and if I don't have to waste a whole day on my volume working I'd rather not haha.

It takes forever no matter what the issue is at the dealership.

Hi I'm having the same issue, no longer under warranty. Did you get your issue resolved?
