The buttons & ***** on my radio do not illuminate at night, though the AC/Heat controls etc. on the dash below below them do. Are the radio controls supposed to light up too, or is that area just meant to be a black void when driving at night?



I've looked closely at the buttons and the paint or whatever looks pretty much the same as that used on the AC/Heat controls below - but I'm not sure.

If the radio controls are supposed to light up, is that something a my general mechanic could fix, or is it a dealer-type thing? I just bought the car (from a private seller) a couple of months ago and am not comfortable digging around behind the dash myself.
