2005 Civic sedan SI ( Canadian Model)
SO the 2005 Honda Civic SI Canadian model, 5 speed comes with the 1.7L vtec? And is the 1.7L vtec engine a interference or non interference? Do these cars have known problems? And what color do the gauges light up at night?
What MPG should i expect from this car? Would the car have mp3 playback through the cd player?

I had a 05 U.S spec Si and its the same as the canadian.
5 Speed 2.0L DOHC vtec
Only prob i ever had was 3rd gear, some times it took a little time to get in, but my other frineds who had them said 3rd gear was fine.
Other prob was it only has 160HP, i wish it had more.
The gauges are white but at night they turn Orange.
The MPG, well to tell you the truth, i didnt care, its a Si, if want good gas milge buy a EX.
The MP3 did hook up to the CD player.

Canadian Si=USDM EX
OP, it has the 1.7L SOHC VTECengine
yes, it's an interference engine
expect probably like 35 mpg
why is the gauge color important?

dude...
in canada, our Si is their SiR
our EX is their Si
if he's talking about a Canadian Si, then he's talking about the equivalent of a USDM EX
"The Si (EP3), marketed as the SiR in Canada, was the only hatchback of its generation sold in North America."

Cost of timing belt & water Pump & tensioner replacement
Hello, I just bought a 2005 Honda Civic SI 1.7 Vtec Automatic Transmission with 82,000 km.
I read that the timing belt and water pump should be changed every so many km's or seven years,
I was wondering what to expect to pay to replace the belt, pump and tensioner?
