2004 Honda Civic "ticking" problem
Hi all,
I've had this problem for quite some time now (around 6 months) and never took it seriously. I don't think it's major, but I really want to know what it is.
When I drive over 30 kilometres an hour, I notice a ticking noise coming from the driver's side. The faster I go, the faster the tick gets. It sounds as if there is a small stone stuck in my tire, but I checked all 4 tires and nothing is in them! I think it's a break issue...
I would appreciate if someone could help me solve this annoying problem!

Hi all,
No engine lights are on and no changes have been made to the car in the past few months. The car has always been serviced on time and according to Honda's specifications. The only thing I did in the past 6 months is change my tires at Canadian Tire (which I will never use them again). 95% of my service has been done at Honda and the few times I went elsewhere they screwed my car up for up for me. My car doesn't run abnormally by any means. My front breaks and rotors have been changed twice already...I would be shocked if they already rusted to hell!
I'm not worried if it has anything to do with engine belts because I'm almost at 168k and for all you Honda owners you know what that means...major service! All engine belts are going to be changed and a tune up is in order (although my car still runs like it's almost brand new). So if you piece this all together with the comments above, I'd say check the front rotor splash guards and inspect the knuckle and suspension...this is because I'm already doing the major service shortly anyhow.
Thanks again and we'll see how things turn out.
