Default 2004 Civic Overheating when idling

I have a 2004 honda civic. A few months ago on the freeway, could not go over 30 mph and engine light came on. Haven't had any more problems like that, I'm not sure if that is an electrical thing? My airbag off light is also on. Recently I have had trouble with the temperature gauge, only in stop and go traffic the car will start to overheat and go down when I start to drive again. Fluids are good, have replaced the thermostat and fan switch, and it's still overheating. The shop I took it to cannot figure out what the problem is. They did a pressure test and can't find any leaks. I'm going to take it to the Honda dealer this week but any ideas, suggestions or similar problems? Thank you
