the problem started when I added a can of refrigerant tomake the system cooler and I didn't have a gauge at that time. since then I have had a recurring problem. I find that the compressor shuts off, and the first time it happened I thought of gauge and determined that the low side had too much pressure on it (about 100psi) so I relieved the pressure and recharged it with refrigerant to the appropriate amount. since then the same problem has happened 3 or 4 times and I've done the same thing determined that there is too much pressure relieve the pressure and recharged it and the problem continues to happen. its really hot down here in Louisiana and problem here's to happen when the system is taxed at its greatest amount when its really hot and the AC's been running for a while.I've read a lot about various AC problems on forums like this but nothing quite like this problem I'm having. Could anyone put me on the right trail?
