1996 Civic non-VTEC, please help with alternator
My g/f has a 96 Civic which needs an alternator. I'm at work here, so I can't just look at it. What I'm wondering is how much work is involved in replacing the alternator. Do you have to get to it from the bottom? Is there lots of room for it to get in and out or do I have to remove other items? Are the bolts easy to get to? I've replaced alternators before, and am up to the task, provided it's not too ridiculous.
Thanks!
Thanks!

think i would;
hanging round a gas station when i was young, a customer
came in with a new sports car.
it was said that you had to remove the fenders to change the spark plugs
think i will stick to my '88

It looks pretty straight forward. First remove all the wires from the alternator. After you have done that, remove the alternator adjusting bolt and take the belt off the pulley. Next take the alternator through bolt out and remove the alternator. I have pictures of all the connectors that need to be removed as well as the location of the bolts and torque specs. I can email them to you if you want. Looking at the location of the alternator, its in a really bad spot. I think you will have to get it from the bottom b/c its crowded from up top.
