Default 1994 Honda civic ex d16y8 battery light issuses

Hello guys looking for some help. I have a 94 Honda civic ex with a d16y8, autotrans, header, test pipe, intake pretty much stock otherwise. I was recently driving it and I down shifted it and the battery light came on it has always flashed when in high rev, but now it comes on as soon as I hit the gas and sometimes when at idle. It will flash very quickly and either go off or stay on why driving. I check the charging system at work with and without load and I also checked the voltage drops, they all seem to be ok. So I was wondering if it might be the alternator, I bought the alternator this past winter. I'm just stuck and can't figure this one out. Please suggestions or something. Help me out guys. And before hand thank you guys. Hope you guys can help me out

It sounds like alternator or wiring to me. I assume you're not hearing anything so the belt is probably not slipping but spray some belt stuff on it to see if it changes the situation. Be careful when testing voltage and giving it the thumbs up, you might not be seeing any brief spikes or drops depending on the equipment. ..honestly civic parts are so plentiful in some areas could you just go out and buy a used alternator for cheap and see if it fixes the problem? I hate throwing parts at an issue but quick and dirty sometimes wins
