06 Civic with Metal Clicking Noise
Folks - need help here. I have a 06 Civic ex with 120k miles on the odmoter. Just regular maintenance has kept it running trouble free until now. Whenever I put the car in reverse their is an initial metal click that happens from the front of the car that just started happening. It MAY click more than once and ONLY if I am turning. There is no clicking sound if the car is under way even if I am going around a corner. If I accelerate hard there will be a single clicking noise as well. Within the last week it has progressed to maybe 2 clicks coming from the drivers side of the car or if I am turning and acclerating harder than normal than I will hear a click. It is not a bumping noise related to struts (Noise is more up underneath and forward I think) CV Joints are something internal to trans? I have not changed the struts and the CV boots look fine.

sounds like a cv joint going bad ,..turn the wheels sharp and then put it in reverse and back up and see if you hear it if so then i would suggest that is what it is ,..its not nothing you did they just wear out
any one else with info please reply .
good luck.
