Default 05 LX AC smell

I bought this certified preowned 05 LX sedan last January, and was not using the AC until this summer season. I notice that when I turn the A/C button off and the cold air warms down, there is this smell. not foul but it's not odorless air. Much more then i turn off the engine and went back driving a few minutes later, when I turn the fan on but not the AC the smell is kinda strong. I called up my the freakin *steal*ership and they wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee considering that the car is all under bumper to bumper warranty < 36000mi.

I've changed the cabin filter already but still have the same problem. Some people said Honda's are famous for that AC smell. Some people said it might be a dead mice in the AC system. Dead mice? Jeez I've never seen a mice here in suburbs NJ, only squirrels lol

a special deodorizer works well, it can be found at a parts store or the dealer will have some (at least they should)

p.s. there's already like thirty threads on this right now.
