Default '03 Civic and Ipod

Hi folks!

I currently have a 2003 Civic - LOVE IT! I still have the factory Honda stereo cd. My issue is this:

I use a FM receiver to listen to my Ipod. While this works, the sound quality can suck due to interference. I have tried to find the best station(s) and just can't find a good consistant one.

What I would like to know: is there a slot on the BACK of the factory deck that would allow me to have the Ipod directly hooked up and get the sound the way it should be? I read somewhere that on the back of the deck it possibly has a slot for a cd changer and that when U plug an Ipod in, it fools the radio into thinking its a changer.

Any help would be great! Trying to find the cheapest alternative possible.

Thanks!

I just replaced my girlfriend's stock stereo in her 2002 Civic. The back of the radio just have the antennae and the usual plug for the radio. She bought her new stereo from Crutchfield. The stereo has a built in ipod/USB port. A lot of their stereos comes with wire adapter harness and a modified face plate kit to make the installation a breeze.

Yeah I was afraid of that so before I started to attempt to see the back of the factory stereo I wanted to get some advice. Damn these old stereos that didn't have an MP3 hook-up LOL!
