Did you clear the ECU of old CEL codes? Has the CEL turned ON since this time? If so, what codes were retrieved from the ECU? By the way, all of this can be done with an inexpensive OBDII code reader or by AutoZone for free.

No I never got around to it. I will do it this week.
The CEL appears and disappears randomly. Right now, no CEL. Yesterday, it was on. When I bought the car in May, previous owner told me that he had a OEM spec aftermarket brand cat welded in, since Honda wanted to replace the whole exhaust system ($$). Would this make turn the CEL on and off like it does?

The ECU stores codes even when the CEL is OFF. Retrieve codes, clear ECU, run car, and again retrieve codes when CEL returns. Post repeated codes for more feedback.

Does your car stall every time you turn off the engine and start it back up?

Does it stall on every gear?

Does it stall only when it is cold?

If yours does it consistently on all gears, different speeds, and weather, it may be possible that you have a clogged fuel filter.

Mine only does it in first gear when I first accelerate moderately on a cold day. It has done it intermittently in the past month but today it has been consistent. It would stall and then start bucking for awhile until I let off the gas and accelerate again. It would be fine until the car sit for awhile and I start it up again.

Sorry to hear that. I was never able to get it diagnosed properly and fixed. Ended up trading the car in.
