How much is "a lot"? 20%, 40%? or over 60%? can you give an accurate range? how many heart disease deaths is tolerable before our govenment is willing to increase spending on preventing heart disease?
As I said before, the bad eating habits are largely influenced by advertizement, TV and other media..
Regardless of what you want your tax money to do, majority of your tax money are going to be used for things you don't really want or need.

Ads influencing people to eat crap food till they are fat as hell is not an argument I care to entertain. Granted, I don't watch much tv, but I see all the same ads they do. Yet, I don't stuff big macs down my throat everyday. Maybe we could use that tax money for psychologists for the people that can't resist fattening foods because of ads? Or not...

^ Lol, this thread makes me laugh. We've got people in this thread thinking they know everything about the world with blinding ego's, people with absolutely no clue as to what renewable energy is, and then people that just don't give a **** and live their lives.
