id def go with the STI over the evo, although evos are nice, id say the wrxs stock 300 hp is nice, but if u can find a cheap evo that would be sweet too

the RS is the base model with a 2.5l N/A engine, the WRX is a turbocharged 2.0l, and the STi is the RS block with stronger internals and a turbo.
thats for older versions anyways. i know the new one has 5 or 6 different models.
edit: oh yeah...some years an RS sport version was offered, which was basically an RS witha couple extra features (extra features being a cassette player standard...nothing 'sport' about it)
and the STi came with a 6spd where as the WRX and RS came with a 5 speed (4 speed auto optional on one of the RS models)

on the new ones the MSRP is a couple hundred over 30 grand. and there arent any options on the new STi. its all standard or you have to get it aftermarket. so they all land in more or less the same general area...about 100 bucks within each other.
93-01 will go for anywhere between 3k to 15k. 02 and 03 are usually 15-20, and 04/05 is 25-30...but ive seen them in the teens.

thanks, I'm starting to like the figure's on the STI. I'll have to work my *** off if I want one though
nevermind I searched and found it myself, sorry for the hassle.
If I got one, I would swap the wheels and tires, and probaly get a better sound system, I dunno about brakes, and intake though, mybe header and exhaust. otherwise it seems like it's ready to go.

found the stuff on the new imprezas
2.5i is about the same as an RS. 2.5l naturally asperated H4, 170hp. 4spd auto or 5spd manual
there are three different WRX's. the wrx got bumped up to a 2.5l engine, all rated at 230hp.
WRX TR: 2.5l turbocharged H4, 5spd manual, least options of the WRX
WRX: 2.5l turbocharged H4, 5spd manual, more options than the TR but not as many as the limited edition
WRX Limited: 2.5 turbocharged H4, 5spd manual or 4spd auto, all the options offered in an Impreza come standard, sunroof is the main thing that sets it apart from the rest of the imprezas, none of the others have one
STi: 2.5l turbocharged H4, built and tuned, 300hp. same options as the WRX but with a 6spd manual.
thats more or less the gist of things. i'll see if i can find more in depth differences between them.
