Okay obviously I'm behind....Amanda I'm sorry to see the Si go. I love my civic, but (and a BIG BUT!!) I've always been a Subaru fan expecially when they brought over the WRX. IMHO if you want raw a** kickin horses get the evo...but if you want style and a** kickin horses get the WRX STI... On a budget? Get the WRX!!! 2003 or prior! I love those bug-eye headlights. And nothing controls Horses like AWD!!!

I hope you told the marine you sold the si to about the forum!! I think it would be cool to see where the car goes from here. New mods...etc. Good luck on the new purchase, I would go with the wrx for hp & performance gains over your si without spending an arm and a leg. Seriously it will be enough of a difference without going sti or evo. Besides, moding is half the fun...you wouldn't want to lose that girls are just as good as guys rep would ya? You have the personality and the know how to personalize and trick out your wrx so why not save the money and make the ride YOURS?
Its not about being everyone else...sheep get sheared, wolves get respect. You've been a wolf on this forum, keep it up, no matter what you get.

But she likes the idea of the AWD WRX. But I figure, its not like the guy at the dealership knows that my mom wont let me buy an STI, so theres no reason why I shouldnt drive both the base model, and the STI to see the difference.

IDK, I wouldn't get either. Mostly because mitsu and subaru don't really strike me as reliable cars, plus interiors are complete rubbish and exterior designs are not very appealing. Personally, I would go with S2K, or pehaps a 350Z. Also used boxsters are in this price range, but they are probably hell to maintain, just like most porsches. Bottom line is that I would be more inclined toward honda - you know the S2k is going to last you for a long time, plus it looks great and the motor is a masterpiece

for #'s AWD is better than RWD but for sheer fun in driving RWD takes the cake
ps the new STi is faster than the new concept Evo in pretty much every aspect. R&T put them head on head a month or two ago.

^My friends mom bought a 300c with a hemi..and then gave it to him after like a month. Its a very nice car, very fast, and roomy. But its a pretty big car. My bf wants me to buy a truck, like he did before I bought the Si, but I like small cars. That was the main thing that made me test drive the MR2 last night. Even tho its not wat Im looking for. Ive never had a sedan for a DD, but I like the Subarus and Mitsus enough that the four door thing doesnt bother me.
If I could find one for the right price a 3series Ci BMW would be another good car for me.
Thank you all for your advice and input! You all have some good points, and I appreciate all of them. Ive never been in the market for these cars before, so there is a lot I still dont know.
EDIT: I DID tell the marine about the forum. Hopefully he will join cause I would also like to see how my car is doing, and wat his plans are for her.

well, just let us know what you decide on. i personally think the evo's are really sweet. kinda sucks the si had to go, but now you can start fresh with whatever you get. hope it all works out!
