After working at a video game store through at least 5 major system launches I'd like to offer you all just one small piece of advice:
Don't. Buy. Launch. Consoles.*
They're buggy, they are likely to break on you. Suck it up, tough it out, and wait till they've worked out initial bugs. You'll save yourself the hassle of trying to return/exchange it.
To answer the poll question, just so I can stay on topic: Nope, I probably won't be.
*this rule does not apply to anything Nintendo makes. If anyone knows how to make sturdy, reliable sh*t, it's them. Any exceptions to this rule are so few and far between that they don't count.

It's not wasting money if you pre-order it you know you are going to get one and when it gets to the store they just call you and go pick it up. You dont have to drive all over looking for one and stand in those lines to maybe get a chance to buy one. It doesn't cost any extra to pre-order them.

They banned the selling of new PS3s because they ran into a bunch of problems with XBOX 360 (some of us I'm sure remember the XBOX 360 water bottle auction) plus it's not an item meant for resale.

The Water Bottle auction, was for a Water bottle with a Xbox 360 sticker on it for their promo, and the person selling it had a picture of a 360 on the page in the title, and it sold for like $2000, or something crazy
