CELSIUS? that is too messed up. I didnt know most metals could stand up to heat like that. Thats 1472 degrees fahrenheit. Dayumn.

Yeah, the level of engineering in these engines is so high. 800+ bhp from a N/A 3.0 liter V10 is just amazing.

Next year they're going to 2.4 liter V8's because they're getting too fast. It's kind of sad but whatever, can't wait to see what kind of revs those things will turn.

Oh, and keep in mind, that engine is the base of the NSX replacement. Sure it'll be de tuned to hell and probably have more displacement but I still can't wait!

im pretty sure the nsx replacements engine isnt gunna be running F1 compression ratios

Yeah... detuned to hell. It's in the press release that the engine will be based on the F1 V10 though.

This might be dumb, but do you think it would be possible to REtune it? I know it wont go 800 horsepower high, but it seems to me like itd be possible to bring back up some.

oh...itd be possible. but those engines are designed to squeeze every ounce of power out of them. theyve got geniuses who have been working on cars twice the time that most people on this forum have been alive designing these thigns, and thousands of man hours go into designing and building them. it would take thousands...no tens of thousands to get it to be anywhere near the F1 specs.
