And marty, that IS what I do. I have some money saved up that otherwise would go into the car, but we'll see how things pan out with xmas coming up and whatnot.

And as for your car, make sure it really loves you for you before you start spending money on it. It would be a shame to blow a grand on new parts for her, and then she leave you for another driver.

Seriously. Dont just spend money just to spend it especially if your on a tight budget. Save alittle more than do something. If you really like the girl than get her something, necklace or something. Just keep saving. Thats what I do and I have money in my savings and about $800 in my safe in my room, going to buy the wife an engagement ring for xmas
