Window Tint

Window Tint
Ok so Alaska, Yes Alaska. Has this gay new law that says you may only have 70% Window tint. Apparently 70% is what comes from the factory. No tint at all. I recently got pulled over for this. Here is the scenario. I was leaving North Pole, Yes North Pole. And I exited the city limits when i saw the North Pole City Popo coming the opposite direction. I wasnt speeding when he saw me because of my Passport 8500 X50. I sound like a commecial don't i? Anywhoo, I wasnt speeding, and as soon as i passed him and he was out of range, I sped up again cause i was running a little late for work. This cop must've turned around shortly after and had to have been cruising to catch up with me, cause when he finally caught up i had been doing 75 and we were 7 miles outside of town. He pulled me over, outside of his jurisdiction, mind you. And sinply said these words to me. He asked me if i knew why he had pulled me over. I was like no i have no clue actually. He said, that he had pulled me over cause "your window tint was too dark." I thought to myself, WTF you sped crazily to catch up with me to do this? and I was like what? He said yea!! to dark.I said omg and he wrote the ticket.
Fact: He did not use his measure thingy to measure the light transparency of my windows.
Question: So how does he know for sure, evidentiary proof, that it is illegal.
Fact: I bought the car just like it is and I have made no customizations whatsoever.
Question: Is this a defense?
Final Question: How can i use this to fight this ticket?
Yes True Scenario! Yes real cities.

Eh, he prolly saw the line from where the tint stopped at the top of the driver's window, so he could tell you had tint.
I doubt it matters if you bought the car like that. It just means that you bought a car which was illegally tinted.
How can you use what to fight the ticket? The only way you can get out of the ticket that I know of is getting an eye doctor's note regarding light sensitivity.
I have gotten numerous tickets for tints. No more tints for me. Paying to have them installed, and then paying a fine b/c I have them installed and having to remove them.

i dont have that problem
my tints are pretty dark. around 20% back and 30%front
just dont be a smart *** to the judge and you'll be fine. they usually understand
remove tint and take pictures.
i know when i lived in florida when cops pulled you over they made you peel it off on the spot or take a ticket.

I have seen this happen in person while driving through town. The guys face was priceless as I rolled by watching him yank the tint off. lol

around here if its too dark the cop just takes out his razor and cuts a big section out of the window so you have to go get something done about it but then you still get the ticket. thats why i decided to stay legal with mine.
as far as getting out of the ticket it probably wont happen. you can try but they are gonna say too bad its still illegal and they wont care when you got the car. but good luck.
