Wii losing it's novelty?
When the Wii came out, I thought it was the coolest thing to ever hit gaming. I thought it was such a revolutionary way to control a game, and it felt so natural.. Then I got bored with the sports games, and I tried to play something else. COD3. It was absolutley awful. The controls didn't work at all. Infact, the controls have a hard time working with any game. And the ones that it does work with all seem to be the same game, just thrown back up. Could it be that the Wii was just fun because it was something new, but is now losing it's novelty, and becoming just boring and impractical?

i've hated that thing since they came up with the idea, it was just ghey from the get go. i don't see what all the hype was about...."oh, wow, you can swing the controller and the bat hits the baseball...amazing.." why don't you play a real freaking sport rather than waste your time with wii sports.
/rant, sorry, i really hate it

i think i'd be a good console for beginning gamers or for young children, but if you're looking for awesome graphics, and better performance overall, i'd definitely go with a ps3.
wii= grossly overrated
although, there are some games that are wii exclusive that are worth owning the console for: Legend of Zelda, and Super Smash Brothers being the main ones

RE: Wii losing it's novelty?
When I heard that there was a dual mode for Star Wars Force unleashed for the Wii where tou control the lightsaber with the wii mote i was like "SWEETT!!!" then i found out that it only recognizes up, down, left right and stab... so no fancy actions at all [>:]
And yes the Wii imo is a novelty at first then after that just gets boring

I still like my Wii i play with the wife all the time. We like the mario cart wii and wii sports.
Its not a gaming console per say but its still pretty fun.
Its even more fun when you have a few people playing at once but its no gamers console.

Ya its fun when your hanging out with friends drinking, but I never found it to appealing... PS3 almost has the same concept though, how you move your controller and you controller whats in the game..(just figured that out last night)

I'm with ej6 on this 100%... most idiotic idea ever.
I don't like exercise with my video games.. it I wanted to exercise, I'd f**king go jogging, not sit on my a** and play video games.
