i would like to know why people choose to buy a civic or honda for their car instead of something else?
me, Gran turismo 2, the first car i bought in the game was a 91 crx sir. that was when i was 14 and ever since then i always wanted a honda civic for my first car, and that is what i drive to this day, and always will.

lol no...after my POS sunbird started braking down i wanted a good reliable new car, so my rents found a civic at a dealership they would help me to pay for (PAYED IT ALL BACK A COUPLE MONTHS AGO!!) and i decided to go with it, plus all the modding options..but mostly the reliablity

I couldn't resist the awesome hawtnes of the Hatchback. I'm so serious. They're just beautiful. I also thought that buying a car that I didn't know how to drive was a grand idea. (It was a stick, and I'm a newblet.)
ALSO, gas milage and reliability were factors.
It wasn't until I got it that I started to care about modding, so for me, that wasn't a factor in the purchase.

To be perfectly honest, I've known that one day I would own this exact model Civic since it came out in 99. I've always been into modding cars, since LOOOOOOONG before I could even (legally) drive

But, the main reason for buying this one, was because I was in the market for something moddable AND reliable. Reason being, that I was driving a VR6 Jetta at the time, on which I spent so much money fixing, I didnt have anything left over for mods, and thats just no fun. So, I talked the dealership into giving me a hella sweet trade in on the POS, and then I had my Civic.
...Side note, It'll be our 1 year anniversary this month

I just saw a nice deal on my way to the Chevy stealership...I was gonna pick up an '05 Cavalier...and than I got the civic that was sitting on the side of the road...and now I regret sellign it.

Well, I had first owned a 92 DX sedan. It had some nice wheels on it and was sort of an implulse buy. You know how when you own a car you notice all the other cars like yours... ? Well, once I saw the EG coupe, I fell in love with the smooth lines of the car. It seemed to have a timeless look to it and when the time came to trade in the sedan, I went on a mission to find a coupe... Bought it bare-bone stock in 97' and still loving it.
