I'm only afraid of two things:
1. COPS
2. COCKROACHES
Other than that, I'm pretty much a thrill seeker. You may not like me saying this, but I've accepted the fact I'll probably die in a car crash.

fearing death is stupid to me...people are so scared of dying that they spend their whole lives trying to preserve themselves. and thats a waste of a life.
i would rather die than have to go through losing a really close loved one

i fear death...and that is a ligitimate fear. the main reason people fear things is because they are afraid they will be injured, hurt, crippled, or otherwise suffer in some way that they wont be able to continue life as they know it. well what is the best/easiest way to discontinue life as you know it? die. i'll admit, life has its ups and downs, and when im feeling down i get really down...but generally speaking im a happy person. i enjoy my life and i would love to live forever...but that doesnt mean im going to throw my life away trying to preserve myself. fearing death is not stupid, and is in fact smart. it teaches you to live cautiously and i think that when you realize that you could die in seconds you appreciate life a little bit more. you appreciate how quickly it could be gone and that it will not last forever so you make the best you can of it. fearing death isnt stupid.
what IS stupid is trying to preserve life. i'll agree with you there. trying to preserve life is like trying to catch air with your hands. but the fear of death isnt what instills this drive to preserve life. what causes that urge is greed, and people wanting power and immortality. THAT is what is stupid...not fearing death.

i disagree with you on so many levels. heres my big reason why.

were kinda going along the same lines...i feel how you feel to some extent. i guess its in the gray area where we differ. i dont want to die, im also a very happy person with almost basically nothing to complain about. i just dont really fear death for some reason, if it happens it happens, lights out, end of story. i guess it kinda goes along with my stance on religion (which id rather not get into haha)... i guess my fear would be dying unhappy, if i die early but with a bang, doing what i love and having done what i wanted all my life, that will be just fine.

RE: What are you afraid of?
I am very afraid of losing control. Like in a fight or just my temper. I have really hurt people in the past and nothing scares me as much as me. I avoid going out alot of the time because I dont want to end up getting pissed and hurting someone. Other than that I am peachy. LOL
