What would you rather have gs or gs-t

RE: What would you rather have gs or gs-t
i know people who make more than 450-500 on stock blocks. i mean stock too. just bigger turbos and fuel system upgrades and such. they are way overbuilt. 500 whp is safe if tuned right (which DSM guys hate to do, since they are even cheaper than Honda guys.)

Yea the DSM's are all but idiot proof, I knew a guy with a 91 that had a set of forged rods and pistons(like $600 total in the engine) well his dumb *** buys a cheap-o WG and Boost controller and spikes it not once not twice not three times but 4 times at 39psi before it spun a rod berring. I have also seen first hand what they do at the track with such small amounts of bolt-ons and tuning. I am talking a easy 12 second car with BS mods

4g63...high 7s at over 200mph...non intercooled...
his crew wasnt there, so we helped him get the car out, and we were talkign to him..he said that unless it got cooler, he would have to run "lighter boost, only 65lbs or so"..thats a quote...

RE: What would you rather have gs or gs-t
wow.. thats freakin awesome.
back to the original post--- besides hating convertibles i dun think i would get a eclipse unless it was the 1st gen (then I would consider the talon instead) with the 4g63 motor... they seem to be reliable, even under boost (as they have been saying) but u need to watch out for something called "crank walk".
btw- i voted for the third choice, the one about the bronco. swap in a straight axle in the front, lift it, cut up the fenders, headers, hardly any exhaust, intake etc., and do some wheelin!!!

ill race your Dodgubishi Pat. and i wouldnt turbo the GS. my buddy did that, and it was CEL mania. i would just do an upgrade on the GST. bolt-on a 16g, a front-mount, and a boost controller, and it will eat the majority of cars out there.

As mentioned, the stock bottom ends are good for somewhere in the neighborhood of 450 whp, and the 16G is a simple upgrade that allows you huge gains. Add a front mount, and, assuming you've got a light enough clutch foot to keep the power down, let's just say you'll be able to embarass a lot of really expensive cars.
I'm still in the GS-T camp, unless you plan on swapping the GS motor.

Pick up one of the GTE cyclone engines. That way you end up with the 16G on it already, and toooons of room for expansion. With nothing more than a MBC, you can easily turn that 220 hp into 250 whp.

I belive that swap is very hard. Not sure about the spyder motor cause I know its different but the 420a neon engine is pretty much an advanced swap because all the wiring and ecu are under the hood, when the 4g63 is in the car.
Looked into it for my buddy who ended up going stage I Haun Racecraft turbo. It is pretty quick but I think the motor is near maxed, not to mention, as Sacs said earlier, the CEL-a-mania.
