One of my friends from High School's dad has a Corvette Z06.
I've driven it a few times and was just not impressed... so by my own conclusion I feel that they are way over rated.
Now the Mustangs I've driven in my own humble opinion are awesome cars..

my roommate had a mustang. i hated every second of driving it. the stock shifter is retarded. he totaled it twice. then he got another ford. and totaled that. god works in mysterious ways

speaking of the northstar... we had to pull one out of a 04? cadi with 30k miles on it because the block was "porus". meaning oil was seeping through it. thats the second one weve seen in 2 months do that.

if you want a go cart feel and reving high get s2k but if you prefer low end torque and going fast in a straight line get a corvette.

a corvette has some serious handling and performance stats to it.

if you wanna go fast in a straight line, get a mustang and drop a few in it.

I'm pretty sure that the new corvette will out handle a S2k any day of the week. The C6 is not your ordinary domestic, Chevy really hit this one out of the park and designed a really amazing car. I have never really seen the Corvette as a car that is meant to go in a straight line, it was always meant to go around corners as well. What you are thinking of is cars like the Mustang, Camero, Firebird etc.

A Corvette can be a monstor in a straight line as well. Keep in mind it's lighter than Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, etc., I think by about 100 pounds.

we cant afford a C6. it would be a C5. and if it stops raining here hopefully we can get out and drive some this weekend. and i will never buy another ford. the day that minivan left was the best day of my life

That was in reference to bleedhondos insulting the Corvette. The corvette does cost more than the S2000, so the S2K is prolly the best handling car for that amount of money. As much of a Honda fan as i am, i can see a good car regardless of make.
