what S2000

RE: what S2000
well the 04-06 guage and steering wheel doesnt look that good. The guage are smaller and the steering wheel looses it stitch. the 00-02, im not sure about the 02 but from 00-01 the rear window is made out of plastic. The s2000 has small cargo room. The 06 has vsa (vehicle stability assist with traction control which i think is gay which you can turn off from what my friend said. Having vsa take the fun out of driving this car. Plus it comes with daytime running lights i think that just stupid to put on a sport car and some other minor changes. 00-03 16 inch tires and 04-06 17". In the 04 they stiffen the suspension and the change to the clutch, release delay valve to preserve the drivetrain. There were also cosmetic changes to the 04 with new front and rar bumpers, revised headlights assemblies, new led tailights, and oval tipped exhausts. That all i think of right now.

My honest opinion about the corvette is I think the new ones (2000 & up) are great looking body designs..but honestly I think a Mustang,Camaro,Firebird or classic muscle car is nicer.
Seriously...if you're a white male in America....by the time you hit 50 you are supposed to have a Corvette for your midlife crisis...
you know...little blonde girl friend...convertible or targa top vette...jean jacket the whole works....
Personally I'd rather save $10-30,000bux and get a new charger or challenger if I was gonna buy a V-8 tittybopper.

Now don't get me wrong, I am by no means a fan of domestics, fast or otherwise. The technology is significantly behind schedule (though they seem to be doing better nowadays - Viper aside). The engineering inherant in Japanese cars is up to an entirely new and thus far unmatched level, and also remember that they VOLUNTARILY choose not to make gas-guzzling, big-block V8's and 2-valve IBC V10's[:'(]. If you think about it, if Nissan or Honda ever made a direct competitor to the Corvette (C6, Z06, whatever) with the same displacement, same layout, they could easily make it better no questions asked. But they don't. It's like the guy who sits out of a street fight even though everybody knows he's a black belt in Kung Fu; an image choice, if you will.

I only do that to pull some back to reality. I am truthfull not bashing, some take that as an insult then so be it but I am not one to fill peoples heads full of bs or ignore comments that I dont understand or agree with.
Sorry if I **** you off because I am that way.

RE: what S2000
Perhaps the reason that the Japanese companies don't get in the ring with the domestics is because American companies can make big V8s cheaply. American companies have been making V8s for decades, many times longer than Japanese/Asian companies have even existed. Yea pushrod V8 use ancient technology compared to the stuff the Japanese companies are using but since the technology is ancient the factories that make them have been paid off. If Japan wanted to switch gears and start making 7.0L V8s they would have to change the way they make cars. For American companies its what they have been doin for many years. Thats why Chevy can come out with a car that will stomp all over cars that cost twice as much.
