its a nice car but overpriced. new or even used s2k with a couple grand in suspension mods and proper suspension tuning and u'll be destroying that CR and still be under their starting price...
Evo's and STIs are in a different class all together. AWD Turbosedan vs RWD N/A roadster. price is barely similar but thats just about where the similarities end. the MS Miatas dont have more horsepower and only have a tiny bit more torque, only slightly lighter by like a couple hundred lbs. the Miatas have a shorter wheel base and lower height which makes them nimble. then/aand even the MS Miatasdont run in the same class as the S2K in terms of racing, the S2K is put in a faster class.

I think they are slow and to cramped up inside period. The cars handle pretty good but there are other cars out there that do it just as well plus have more power on tap. The S2000 to me is a a rwd version of a B16 civic. The F20 and F22C's feel like a B16 but like I said the car is balanced ok. Now one thing I can not stand at all about the S2k is that is absolutly sucks on gas. All in all I think it dont even touch a STi or a EVO in it's price range even though those are not considered true sports cars. Also a Mazdaspeed Miata can be had and it has more hp and tq as the S with around the same weight and Mazda has proven it's worth in the open roof 2 seat roadster class.

Different class or not I dont see how you could look past the 2 sedans because man they are as fast if not faster than the S in every fasion and there is also a big + on comfort compaired to it. Then again I picked my "roadster" and I would not trade it being nearly 8 years old for a S2000 CR.

I think it is alright dont get me wrong I would never own for the simple fact that with the convertible top up (not sure about the hardtop) I rubbed my head on the roof as I am 6'1 so I was just a bit to tall for it. however I really liked the Z

Its a pretty nice car, interior is boring as hell though. I don't understand how you can even compare it to the Mugen civic though, the S2000 has rear wheel drive and looks better in my opinion, but also in my opinion i don't like the new civics, so suppose that is probably why.

I'd take an S2000 CR over an STI/EVO anyday. It's all personal preference. Are you wanting to be able to bring your friends with you everywhere you go? Or do you just cruise with one person like a female for example. I personally love the S2000 and would ditch my civic anyday for it. A JDM one would be interesting I'm sure it has some better goodies in it than the USDM one.
